Dr. Snodgrass

Dr. Gregory D. Snodgrass, Ophthalmologist

Dr. Snodgrass earned his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, then completed his internship and Ophthalmology Residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital and The Ohio State University, serving as Chief Resident.

Dr. Snodgrass moved to Gainesville in 1987. Over the years, he expanded his practice to include offices on NW 8th Avenue, Tioga Town Center and Lake City, and updated the practice name to North Florida Cataract Specialists and Vision Care to better reflect the areas we serve and services we provide.

Dr. Snodgrass is known as one of the area's premier ophthalmologists, combining advanced skills, state-of-the-art technology, and over twenty-five years of experience to provide his patients with superior eye care.

Dr. Gray

Dr. Matthew Gray, Ophthalmologist

Dr. Gray earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he also did his residency training in Ophthalmology and a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease.

Dr. Gray remained on faculty at U.F. for several years and received multiple awards and honors for his teaching and outreach work. He now specializes in cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and ocular surface disease.

Dr. Gray has extensive training and experience in managing routine and complex eye disease and is committed to providing quality care to his patients. He has been passionately involved in outreach work, volunteering his time locally, as well as traveling internationally to perform vision restoring cataract surgeries and corneal transplantation for those in need.

Dr. Christa Morris

Christa Morris, O.D.

Dr. Christa Morris earned her undergraduate degree from Mercer University in 2009 and graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2014. In addition to her work at the practice, Dr. Morris completed her residency training in primary eye care with an emphasis in ocular disease at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. As the daughter of our own Dr. Gregory Snodgrass, compassionate eye care runs in the family for Dr. Morris.

Dr. Christa Morris

April Yancey, O.D.

Dr. April Yancey earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama in 2008. She went on to graduate from the University of Alabama’s School of Optometry in 2013. Dr. Yancey completed her residency at the UAB School of Optometry where she specialized in pediatric and binocular vision, cornea and contact lenses, low vision rehabilitation and ocular disease. She also examined and treated low vision patients at the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind. Dr. Yancey loves singing, everything Disney, travel and sports.
